Insight was engaged to oversee debris removal efforts for Aiken Electric Co-Op following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. The Co-Op experienced significant damage, with over 1,600 downed power poles and 134 transformers spread across nine counties in South Carolina’s southern region.
A team of more than 30 debris monitors ensured that Ferreira, the Co-Op’s removal contractor, properly documented and removed all affected poles and transformers throughout the service area. Additionally, Insight monitors verified that haul-out contractors disposed of all materials in accordance with regulations.
To streamline tracking, Insight utilized an ADMS app to record all debris, including removal methods, tonnage, and final disposition.
